Today, the Morton High School Band left for Washington DC to perform in the Jan. 20 inauguration parade for President-elect Barack Obama.
Out of more than 700 bands all over the country, The Morton HS Band was selected.
My niece is in the band, and I am so proud to post these pictures of all the proud families who gathered today to send them off in a sea of cheering and excitement. Good Luck to all of you. We will, no doubt, be glued to our TV sets on Tuesday to hopefully catch a glimpse of our band proudly playing for our country. What an incredible honor and a once in a lifetime opportunity.
